We’re presenting 4 of the Best Online Practices for creating successful online content. Here is Part 1 of our 4 part series.

Whether it’s after we launch a website or a few weeks later, we start to look at how we can get traffic flowing over the site, and even better, some transactions and convergence. People come to read and get insightful information from your website so it benefits you to provide it for them.

“All the words I use in my stories can be found in the dictionary — it’s just a matter of arranging them into the right sentences.” — Somerset Maugham

As many content creators know, it takes far more than just good ideas, grammar and a flair for words to be successful at online marketing and content creation for an online brand. So we thought it would be helpful to look at a few of the best practices — including a few of our observations based on our own experience.

1. Get the Quality AND Quantity of your web content right.

With the advent and proliferation of online marketing, writers and content creators have become exceptionally good at “making sweet”, on the search engines ability to rank websites highly based on inbound links, link farming, ill advised keyword saturation, and more. Google is without a doubt the most used and most popular of search engines — Its software, data engineers and developers keep an eye on trends that help ensure that its algorithms are updated to accommodate the latest digital marketing strategies, and to ensure that it meets the evolving consumer online search behaviors.

Google’s Penguin update and more recently the Hummingbird update allowed for its search engines to distinguish a quality algorithm to help identify quality websites and sites whose content was deemed to be “spammy”, this also includes link bait laden sites, leaving some marketers frustrated by the frequent need to revisit their marketing strategies.

Given these ongoing and almost constant algorithm updates that Google rolls out, Fort Lauderdale and local businesses that engage in quality and unique web content creation should naturally stand out, their content should rank more highly on both Global and Local search engines.
